World’s Fastest Supercomputer Thanks To Video Games

The world's fastest supercomputer currently resides at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee and it is called “Titan”. The machine derives more than 90% of its power from technology originally developed for the video game industry since half of its 37,376 processors are GPUs, especially designed to cope with modern video games, which are some of the most demanding applications any home machine is ever likely to run.
