05/05/2015

Video Games Europe announced today that Wooga, the Berlin-based company known from mobile games such as Jelly Splash, Agent Alice and Diamond Dash, has joined 13 other major publishers and 17 national trade associations as member. Wooga is the fourth new member in less than a year for Video Games Europe, with King, Supercell and Gameloft joining the federation as well.

“We are delighted to see another prominent European company join our organisation”, says Simon Little, Managing Director of Video Games Europe. “The mobile games business is expanding its audience continuously and helping the industry grow. We aim to support our members in fostering that growth while jointly addressing any challenges along the way.”

“Wooga is determined to cultivate the strong creative and economic potential in the European mobile games industry”, says Jens Begemann, founder and CEO, Wooga. “Becoming a member of Video Games Europe and teaming up with fellow industry leaders in Europe is an important step for us in creating the right environment to do so.“

Video Games Europe spreads the word on its members’ positions regarding the main political and legal initiatives of European and international institutions in fields such as intellectual property, e-commerce, trade negotiations and the protection of minors.
