Video Games Europe, in collaboration with EGDF, is proud to present the year’s annual report, All About Video Games – a comprehensive and definitive picture of Europe’s video games sector – in revenue, employment and player numbers. Compiled with data from GameTrack Ipsos, GSD, as well as Video Games Europe and EGDF members. This year's edition includes research on 16 countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.

Highlights:

  • Revenue is €29.7 billion; revenue split by device is 91% digital and 9% physical
  • 199 million players aged 6-75
  • 51% of Europe’s population aged 6-75
  • 46% of players are women, 77% are adults, and the average age is 34
  • 123,000 people are employed, 24% of whom are women
  • There are 8,700 studios in Europe
